CRUSADERS FALL TO TUSCULUM IN OPENING 2014
Greenville, TN- The North Greenville Men’s tennis team kicked off its 2014-2015 season today with a 9-0 loss to Tusculum College.

The first match of the season for the crusaders would start with doubles. For North Greenville it would be Sjors van Eck and Marcelo Yshikawa up against Jonas Winkelmann and Leon Seiz. The Pioneers would take it (8-3). Next up in doubles would be Alejandro de la Torre and Juan Vargas for NGU and David Siegle with Tashique Kader for Tusculum. This would be a highly competitive set, but once again would go in favor of Tusculum (9-7). The final doubles set would feature  Santiago Robles with Edmundo Torres against Nicolas Planchard and Toby de Klerk. Once again, NGU would fall (8-4).

The singles would be up next for these two teams, after Tusculum dominated doubles NGU really would need to steal one before coming back home. However The Pioneers would have something to say about that. Tusculum was just the better team as they would dominate the singles matches as they did the doubles. The final match score was Tusculum 9, NGU 0.

The Crusaders will host Mars Hill on September 30th, marking the first match played at the new NGU Vance Tennis Complex.
