CRUSADERS WRAP UP 2013 FALL SCHEDULE
Sumter, S.C.—The North Greenville men’s tennis team continued its fall schedule on Saturday afternoon with matches against Coker College, and Presbyterian College. NGU fell to Coker 5-3 in the first set, while avoiding being shut out by division 1 foe Presbyterian, falling 6-1 to the Bluehose.
Against Coker, the Crusaders picked up one doubles win, on a forfeit from Coker in the final doubles set. In Singles, Andres Santiago Camacho picked up NGU’s first win with a 6-1, 6-2 win. The Crusaders once again received a forfeit in the final singles of the match to secure a third win.
The Crusaders would struggle against Presbyterian, dropping all three doubles sets. NGU’s only win against the Bluehose would be in singles as Juan Vargas would take a 3-6, 7-5, 11-9 decision over his Presbyterian counterpart.
The Saturday double match wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule for the Crusaders, who will now look to the opening of the 2014 season on February 6th, at home against Francis Marion University.
