Crusader tennis loses to Lander

Greer, S.C. – The men’s and women’s tennis teams were unable to gain any momentum in their second match of the season as the men dropped their second straight match to Lander University 9-0 and the women lost for the first time in 2011 to Lander 8-1.

The men did not receive any points as Lander defeated them in both the doubles and singles portions.

The women received their first point in team history against Lander when Cassie Curtis won the singles match as the #4 player on the team. She won by default with a score of 4-6, 1-2.

Both teams will have a quick turnaround as they host Lincoln Memorial University tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. at the Greer Tennis Complex.
