Crusaders lose close match to Shaw 5-4

Men's tennis traveled to Raleigh, NC Thursday afternoon to face the Bears of Shaw University.

The guys played well, but came up short in the end 5-4. In singles, Thomas Clack (Loganville, GA) won with scores of 6-1 and 6-0, Kesha Sedov (Moscow, Russia) won 6-1, and Timur Kamilov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) experienced a win with scores of 7-6 and 12-10. In doubles, Guilherme Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Ian Harvic (Snellville, GA) played well winning the third set 8-4. Despite their good efforts, the Crusaders, unfortunately, could not pull of a win for the afternoon. The men will be back in action on April 3 against Mars Hill College in NC at 1 p.m.
