Crusader Tennis wins 7-2 over Newberry

With a 4-5 record, the men's tennis team went up against Newberry College here at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Then men played a great match and came out on top with a 7-2 victory, breaking even on their season record. In singles, Luis Campos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won by default and Guilherme Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) shut out his opponent 6-0. Timur Kamilov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Thomas Clack (Loganville, GA), and Keshia Sedov (Moscow, Russia) also competed well, winning their single sets. In doubles, the Crusaders won the first and third set with Ferreria and Ian Harvic (Snellville, GA) winning 8-1 in the third set. The men will play again on March 25 in Raleigh, NC against Shaw University at 2 p.m.
