Men’s tennis won their last home match of the season against Emmanuel College on Friday, May 1. The Crusaders beat Emanuel 9-0. They played at Emmanuel to make up a match that had been rained out early in the season.
The singles lineup, one through six, ran: Timur Kamilou, Gabriel Altmayer, William Ho, Guilherme Vasques, Jacob Rogers and Thomas Clack filling in for Juan Carlos Aguilera. Aguilera, who usually plays singles number two, has been out with a broken wrist for a few weeks now. Coach Mark Elliot saw it fit to substitute Clack for Aguilera but shift numbers three through six up one slot and drop Clack in at six. Clack also paired with Rogers for number three doubles. However, even with the tweaked lineup the Crusaders came out victorious.
Both the Men’s and Women’s teams were officially invited to the NCCAA Championships in Indiana. They will travel there Sunday, May 3 and begin play on Tuesday, May 5 against Indiana Wesleyan College.
