Men's tennis begins 2007 with win

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville's men's tennis team began the 2007 season on a winning note. The Crusaders defeated Shaw University 8-1 Thursday afternoon. North Greenville is now 1-0 on the season.

In doubles matches, North Greenville won all three matches. Gabriel Altmayer and William Ho took the #1 doubles 8-3. Tomas Kurhajec and Rob Young won #2 doubles 8-1, while Juan Carlos Aguilera and Jacob Rogers grabbed #3 doubles 8-0.

D. Sabogal defeated Kurhajec 6-4, 7-6 to take the #1 singles match. North Greenville swept the remaining singles matches. Young (#2) won 6-2, 6-1. Altmayer (#3) won 6-1, 6-2. Ho (#4) won 6-0, 6-0. Aguilera (#5) won 6-0, 6-0. Rogers (#6) won 6-0, 6-0.

The Crusaders will be back in action Saturday at Presbyterian College at 2:00 p.m.
