Crusaders win fifth in a row!!!

GREER, SC- The national championship came down to the best North Greenville and Palm Beach Atlantic had to offer. Number one seeds Tomas Kirstukas (NGU) and Paul Segodo (PBA) battled three sets before Kirstukas secured North Greenville's fifth consecutive National Christian College Athletic Association title.


Palm Beach Atlantic won two of three doubles matches. In singles matches, North Greenville's Gintas Daniusevicius and Gabriel Altmayer both won to give the Crusaders a 3-2 advantage. John Tilton carried Palm Beach Atlantic to a 3-3 tie by defeating Jordy Gandy. William Ho gave North Greenville a one-match lead when he downed Caleb Peterson in the number four seed match. Daniel Fairchild defeated North Greenville's Andy Hack to bring the match to a 4-4 tie.


Kirstukas and Segodo battled in a showdown on Court One at the Greer Tennis Center with the national championship on the line. Segodo took the first set 5-7. Kirstukas won the second set 6-1. All eyes descended on the two team leaders as Kirstukas pulled out the third set 6-4.


Indiana Wesleyan defeated Bethel College to finish in third place.
