Brady Scores Twice as Crusaders Beat Warriors to Wrap Up Conference Play

The North Greenville Crusaders came away with a 3-1 victory over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan in their final conference game of the season in Central, South Carolina. The win allowed the Crusaders to jump up two spots to eighth place in the Conference Carolinas standings. Casey Brady scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season.

1st Half

SWU began the match with five of the first six shots, and would strike first on the scoreboard with a goal by Grant Kiker in the 30th minute. Nine minutes later, a foul allowed Casey Brady to take a penalty kick, which resulted in a goal to even the score. NGU put up two additional shots, but the half came to an end with the score still tied.

2nd Half

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Casey Brady would strike again with a goal to give the Crusaders the lead. Just eight minutes later, SWU would give North Greenville an insurance goal when a wild kick resulted in an own goal. SWU would put up one last fight late in the half when Marshall Ball scored off a penalty kick. After a yellow card on James Segovia, NGU would end the match with a goal by Will Moy and an assist by Nick Roberson in the final seconds.
