NGU fell short in the battle of the Crusaders with a 3-1 loss to Belmont Abbey. North Greenville's only goal came late in the first half, but Belmont Abbey was able to score two in the second half while holding NGU to none. Rolando Macias scored his first goal of the season.
1st Half
The half began fairly slow as only three shots between the two teams would be attempted in the first twenty minutes. Late in the half, BAC was first on the board with a goal by James Delaney, his second of the season. However, NGU responded with Rolando Macias' first goal of the season with an assist by Gareth Greene just two minutes later. The half ended with NGU taking three shots while BAC recorded nine. Kendrick saved five in the half.
2nd Half
NGU became aggressive early in the half with four shots in the first seven minutes, but Belmont Abbey would take the lead with a goal by Adam Lindskog in the 59th minute. Around ten minutes later, BAC added to their lead when Nando Morales found the right side of the goal. North Greenville put up two shots in the final fifteen minutes, but were unable to come away with a second goal. Both teams totalled eight shots in the second half.
Individual
Rolando Macias scored his 1st goal of the season. He totalled 3 shots and 2 shots on goal.
Gareth Greene collected 4 shots, 2 shots on goal, and an assist.
Kike Molina recorded 2 shots, both on goal.

The Crusaders will return home to face the Mount Olive Trojans on Saturday, October 10th in Tigerville.
