The 2018 North Greenville men's soccer team will look to accomplish the program's first winning season since 2009. Head coach Bill Martin will begin his third year at NGU. There was plenty to celebrate last season as the 2017 team won five games for the first time since 2012. In addition, last year's team scored 19 goals, the most since 2013. With a 10th place expectation according to the Conference Carolinas preseason poll, the Crusaders will look to be the Cinderella Story of the 2018 season.
Seniors Marlon Evans and Casey Brady will be the team captains for 2018.
NGU will open up the season on the road September 1st in a nonconference matchup against the Shorter Hawks. The Crusaders will remain on the road for the next two matches as well. They will play at home for the first time in 2018 on Tuesday, September 11th with a conference match against the Lees-McRae Bobcats. Two additional home games will follow before going back on the road for three straight games. North Greenville will then begin the month of October at home against the North Georgia Nighthawks on October 2nd. Two days later, the Crusaders will travel to nearby Greenville to take on the Furman Paladins. Five straight conference games will then take place before ending the regular season on the road against the Anderson Trojans.
