Tigerville, S.C. - North Greenville dropped their third straight game on Thursday as Emmanuel College outscored the Crusaders 3-0. NGU is now 1-6-1 (0-5-1 CC) on the season.
The Lions jumped out to a one score lead early in the first half as Emmanuel’s Martin Mitreski set up Channing Park (6:09) to take a 1-0 lead. North Greenville would take four shots in the first half but none would find the net. James Max Miller would finish the first half with 1 save.
Emmanuel would continue to keep their momentum going in the second half as the Lions’ Sean Fitz Gerald (56:53) would go unassisted to score and take an Emmanuel lead of 2-0. North Greenville would try to battle back with a pair of shots from Luis Molina and Sjors van Eck but neither would get past EC’s Andy Dunnett. Emmanuel would go onto to score one last time when Martin Mitreski would set up Josh Rodgers (67:18) giving Matreski two assists on the game.
The Crusaders would finish the game with two shots on goal coming from Marlon Evans and Luis Molina. James Max Miller would finish the game with three saves on six shots on goal.
North Greenville will look for their first conference win of the season as they host Pfeiffer University on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
