Bristol, TN—North Greenville was left searching for its first conference win of the season on Saturday after King University earned an 8-1 decision over the Crusaders.
King gained a large advantage in the first half scoring four goals in the opening 45-minutes. The Tornado scored early in the period with a goal at 6:08 to take a l-0 lead. Freek Schoones would score twice more in the period to finished with three-goals on the day.
The Tornado would extend the lead to 5-0 before NGU’s Matthew Woodington would score unassisted to cut into the lead, 5-1. Three more goals before the clock ran out would earn King the seven-goal advantage.
The Crusaders fall to 1-5-1 overall and 0-4-1 in Conference Carolinas play. North Greenville will host Emmanuel College on Thursday night at 7:30pm in Pepsi Stadium.
