Crusaders Remain Winless In 2014
Saturday, October 25, 2014
Central, SC – The nightmare continued for the Crusaders Saturday as they were swept aside by instate rival Southern Wesleyan University 7-1.

Joao Oliveria opened the scoring in the 20th minute.  Noel Fischer scored twice in the 40th minute to increase the lead to three at the half.  Ivan Malagon added to the tally in the 51st minute to open the second half.

The one bright spot for the Crusaders came as freshman Victor Tarpinian captured his first collegiate goal on an assist from Thales Wieczorek in the 55th minute.  That would be the closest the Crusaders would get at Bruno Liozzi, Valentino Zaglia, and Christian Taylor scored in the 65th, 78th, and 88th minutes respectively.

Freshman James Max Miller totaled just two saves in his first career start as the Warriors outshot North Greenville 12-11 in the contest.

North Greenville (0-14, 0-10 Conference Carolinas) will finish its season with a road contest against non-conference opponent Tusculum College on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. in Greeneville, TN.
