Falcons Foil Crusader Fall Break
Tigerville, SC – A long season was no closer to seeing a turnaround as the Crusaders played two men down and fell to the Falcons of Pfeiffer University 5-0.

Martim Galvao was the star of the day as he played Nathan Regis in on goal just seven minutes in.  The two would connect again in the 35th minute with Regis again getting the goal and Galvao the assist.

The second half would see Galvao change from playmaker to goal scorer as his goals in the 43rd, 76th and 81st minutes would seal him a second half hat trick.

The Crusaders fell to a man down in the 70th minute as James Max Miller picked up his second yellow of the game and it would get worse for the Crusaders as goalie DJ Baker would pick up a straight red in the 79th minute.

The Crusaders were outshot again, this time 19-8.  Junior midfielder Thales Wieczorek led the team in shots with two.

The Crusaders (0-10, 0-5 Conference Carolinas) will travel to Belmont, NC to take on Belmont Abbey University on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m.
