Crusaders Unable To Gain First Win
Bristol, TN – The North Greenville losing streak ran to eight straight games as the Crusaders were defeated 4-1 by King University on Saturday afternoon on the road.

You would have to go back to September 21, 2013 for the last North Greenville victory and as to often been the case this year the Crusaders always seemed a long shot to win as they were outshot 17-4.  The Crusaders have looked disorganized throughout the year as offense has been hard to come by.

NGU fell behind just 20 minutes in as Chris Hicks scored his seventh goal of the season as his unassisted goal would find the bottom right corner. Seven minutes later Ryan Cobain converted from the penalty spot for his first goal of the season.

NGU got a goal from Joel Johnson in the 35th minute that would only be a consolation prize as goals from Zachary Clark in the 54th minute and Hicks again in the 64th would put the game to bed.

The Crusaders (0-8, 0-4 Conference Carolinas) will return home to host Emmanuel College on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
