Crusaders Lose Second Straight Conference Contest
Wilson, NC - New day same result for the Crusaders of North Greenville University as the Crusaders drop their ninth straight game stretching back to last season.

NGU was outshot once again this time by a margin of 21 to six.  Barton forced four saves from goalkeeper DJ Baker, as the sophomore was bombarded all night.

Barton’s first goal came just two minutes in as Erik Pajunk would score his fourth goal of the season unassisted on a breakaway goal.

Dante De Luca would add his third and fourth goals of the year in the 26th and 67th minutes respectively, his second goal off a free kick that deflected of an NGU defender. Barton would end their scoring in the 74th minute as Austin Tausch scored his first goal of the season.

The change in formation did nothing to help the Crusader’s offense as NGU managed just one shot on target from junior Thales Wieczorek.

The Crusaders (0-5, 0-2 Conference Carolinas) will return home to host Limestone College on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
