Crusaders Unable To Get Past Newberry In Overtime
Newberry, SC - The struggles continue for the North Greenville Crusaders.  The Crusaders dropped their fourth straight game to start the season, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Newberry College in overtime on Tuesday afternoon.

The Crusaders offensive struggles continued as the lack of a true forward has hindered the team’s offense as the team has scored one goal in the first four games. The Crusaders were outshot 24 to six in the game and were unable to render a shot on target.

The bright spot for the Crusaders came in the form of goalkeeper DJ Baker.  The sophomore kept his team in the game registering six saves.

The lone goal in the game came eight minutes into overtime as Stephen Harvey won ball in the box and finished far left post.

The Crusaders (0-4, 0-1 Conference Carolinas) will be in action again in Wilson, NC to take on Barton College on Sept.  20 at 3 p.m.
