Tigerville, SC – The Crusader men’s soccer team was eliminated from postseason play after a 4-2 loss to Belmont Abbey College on Saturday afternoon in Pepsi Stadium.

Sophomore forward Adam Turner put North Greenville on the board early with an unassisted goal in the 7th minute of play before Belmont Abbey was able to score an equalizer in the 12th minute of the first half.

Turner struck again with a goal in the 37th minute on an assist from senior defender Cameron Porter to give North Greenville a one-goal lead heading into the half.

Despite being behind, Belmont Abbey continued to attack and broke through with a goal from Mitchell Hepburn in the 80th minute to even the score at two goals apiece. Hepburn scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 84th minute of play, while Belmont Abbey’s Connor Wells scored his second goal of the game in the 89th minute to secure the 4-2 victory.
