Crusaders Extend Conference Win Streak To Four

Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville men’s soccer team extended its Conference Carolinas winning streak to four games in a row with a 2-0 shutout of Pfeiffer University in Pepsi Stadium on Wednesday night.

Junior midfielder Ben Montry broke through for his first goal of the 2012 season in the 38th minute to give the Crusaders a 1-0 advantage.

Wil Pickel, a junior defender, scored the first goal of his collegiate career in the 41st minute on an assist from fellow junior defender Alex Redding to give North Greenville the 2-0 lead they would hold onto until the final whistle.

Senior goalkeeper Justen Braddock recorded 3 saves in 78:47, while freshman Pablo Dongarra played the final 11:13 to combine for the team’s fourth shutout of the season.

The Crusaders (5-5-1, 4-3 in conference) will look to continue its win streak as the team hosts Queens University of Charlotte at 6 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
