CRUSADERS SCORE 3 GOALS IN SECOND HALF TO SECURE POST SEASON SPOT

Tigerville, SC—
The North Greenville men’s soccer team scored 3 goals in the second half en route to a 5-1 victory over the Chowan College Hawks.

Junior mid-fielder Jonathan Restrepo scored 3 goals while Juan Carlos Aguilera and added a second. The Crusaders received some help from the Hawks in the 48th minute when a Chowan player ricocheted a loose ball over the Hawks goal keeper for a Chowan “own goal”.
The three goals by Restrepo gives him 12 on the year which leads the team. Aguilera’s goal was his eighth of the season.

Chandler Patterson added an assist on the Aguilera goal in the 4th minute to give him four on the season. “I don’t feel like it was the best game of the year for us” remarked head coach Chad Gfeller, “but we did what we needed to do to get the win and move on to the post season.”
