TIGERVILLE, SC--Palm Beach Atlantic and North Greenville University both won semifinal matches Friday to advance to the NCCAA South Regional championship game. The winner will advance to the National Tournament to be held November 16-19 in Kissimmee, FL.
Palm Beach Atlantic defeated Emmanuel College 4-0. The Sailfish took an early 3-0 lead in the first half. Daniel Abrahamshn scored first for PBA off an assist from Chance Sumner in the 14th minute. A minute later Jerris Gay netted a goal. Chyne Roberts assisted. Then, in the 17th minute, Abrahamsohn struck again, this time unassisted.
Matt Sweesy added the final goal on an assist from Kyle Crouse in the 53rd minute.
North Greenville downed Southern Wesleyan 2-1. The Warriors took an early lead as Chris Bocanegra opened the scoing in the 14th minute.
North Greenville tied the game at the 44:00 mark as Brandon Gilmore scored off an assist from Michael Oostdyk. Max Duarte netted what proved to be the winning goal in the 53rd minute.
North Greenville will meet Palm Beach Atlantic for the regional championship at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Pepsi Stadium.
