Crusader soccer begins quest for National Championship Friday

The North Greenville men's soccer team's quest for a National Championship begins Friday as the eighth-seeded Crusaders take on the number one seeded Mid-Continent Cougars (KY) in Kissimmee, FL. The Cougars enter the game with a 13-6 record for the season, while North Greenville enters 6-13-1. The two teams will play the final match of the day on Friday. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The rest of the field includes Bryan College (TN), Nyack College (NY), Indiana Wesleyan University (IN), Dallas Baptist University (TX), Trinity Christian College (IL), and Hope International University (CA).

On playing the number one seed in the first game, Coach Chad Gfeller said, "to win the national championship, we will have to beat them eventually, so might as well do it in the first round."
