NGU COMEBACK FALLS SHORT IN OVERTIME LOSS TO LIONS

Franklin Springs, Ga.—The inaugural season for the NGU Men's Lacrosse Team came to an end on Tuesday night with a 12-11 loss to Emmanuel College.

The Crusaders trailed 11-7 heading into the fourth quarter, but four unanswered from North Greenville would send the game into overtime, the first in program history. Brandon Petter scored the equalizer with 4:43 left in the game to send it into sudden death.

The Lions would score the game winner with 2:14 left to end NGU's season and a chance at the Conference Carolinas tournament. Drew Wassenaar led North Greenville with three goals and an assist. Hunter Burgett also had multiple scores with two goals for NGU. Allen McBride led the Crusaders with seven ground balls while also winning 11 face offs.

North Greenville falls to 1-13 overall and 1-5 in Conference play after the season ending defeat.
