COREY GEROY NAMED ASSISTANT COACH FOR MEN'S LACROSSE

Tigerville, S.C.—Corey Geroy has been named assistant coach for the first North Greenville men’s lacrosse team, as announced by head coach Corey Struss.

Geroy, a native of Horseheads, New York is a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Geroy was a standout member of the Queens Royals lacrosse team. The team captain and one time pre-season All-American was also voted to first and second team all conference, as well as to an all-tournament team.

His career accolades also included an Offensive Most Valuable Player nod in 2012, and scoring two goals, one of which was a game winner, in the North-South All-Star Game, and rising to second in Queens lacrosse history in points scored. Geroy did a stint with the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse, spending a season on the practice squad.

Geroy picked up a coaching position right out of college, as he took the assistant position of once fellow Conference Carolinas member Coker College, where he coached from 2012 to 2013, and took over the offensive coordinator duties. He is currently the head coach of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he led the Raptors to a state championship.

Corey Geroy will join the men’s lacrosse team this summer as the team prepares for its inaugural 2015 season.
