Crusaders turn in sixth place finish in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – North Greenville men’s golf turned a sixth place finish on Tuesday, wrapping up play at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate hosted by Pfeiffer University.

Duke University took home the tournament title while Lincoln Memorial and Coker College rounded out the top three. Belmont Abbey and Lenoir Rhyne finished in a tie for third place with Coker.

Evan Gfeller led North Greenville with a seventh place finish. He shot a combined total of 143, including a 71 on day one and a 72 in the second round. Gfeller accounted for NGU’s only top ten finish.

Seth Robertson was the next best finisher for the Crusaders as he carded a 145, finishing him in 13th. Robertson shot a 71 on day one but dropped three strokes in round two, shooting a 74.

Other scores for the Crusaders included a 149 for Ethan Breeden (70/79) and a 151 for Chase Fisher (75/76). Christian Constance shot a 159 for the Crusaders, rounding out the scores for North Greenville.

The Crusaders will travel to Alabama on October 17th to play in the TVA Credit Union Classic at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club.
