Tigerville, S.C. – Christian Constance turned in NGU’s first top five finish of the 2016-2017 season on Tuesday afternoon, lead the NGU Men’s Golf Team to a third place finish at the King University invitational.
Constance turned in one of two under-par scores for the Crusaders this week, as a pair of 69’s was good enough for third place. Constance paced the Crusaders with a two-day total of 138, finishing him in a three-way tie.
Evan Gfeller was just two strokes behind Constance as he also had identical rounds, earning North Greenville’s only other top-10 finish. Gfeller shot a 70 on both days, earning him a total of 140, and finished him in 7th place.
Seth Robinson and Chase Fisher matched each other’s totals after two rounds, each carding a pair of 73’s. Robinson and Fisher finished tied for 16th with a two round total of 146. Ethan Breeden rounded out North Greenville’s team card with a pair of 75’s and 24th place finish.
North Greenville shot a 285 as a team in the first tournament of the season for the team. Pfeiffer University earned the tournament title while Erskine College took second place. Trevecca Nazarene and King University rounded out the top five.
The Crusaders will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on October 3rd to take part in the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
