NGU Men Earns First Place Finish at Richard Rendleman Invitational

Salisbury, N.C. - North Greenville men's golf posted its first, first place finish of the 2016 season on Tuesday at the Richard Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba College.

Seth Robertson posted his best finish as a Crusader with a 2nd place showing to lead the team. Robertson shot a 70 in round one and a 72 in the second for a two round total of 142.

Evan Gfeller also posted a top five finish as he holed out a spot behind Robertson, in third place. Gfeller shot a 75 on day one but improved his score seven strokes on day two for a final round of 68. The Crusaders also got a top 10 finish from Christian Constance to carded out with a two round total of 146, good enough for sixth place.

Chase Fisher and Mac Bradley finished in 23rd and 40th with two-day totals of 153 and 157. Fisher shot a 77 on day one and a 76 on day two while Bradley finished with a 75 and an 82.

North Greenville will have a couple weeks to regroup before hosting the 2016 Cliffs Intercollegiate at The Cliffs Country Club at Mountain Park.
