Kiawah Island, S.C. - North Greenville men's golf picked up its second top five finish of the season this week, finishing in second place at the Newberry Invitational.
Christian Constance turned in NGU's only top five finish for a single player as his three round total of 221 put him in a tie for fifth place. Constance scored two rounds of 73 and wrapped up the 54-hole tournament with a 75.
Evan Gfeller and Seth Robertson were next in line for the Crusaders as they finished in a tie for 18th. Both players shot a 227 for three rounds. Gfeller shot a 72/75/80 while Robertson ended the week with a 73, sandwiched between two scores of 77.
Vijay Mishra finished in 25th with a three round total of 229 while Chase Fisher shot a 54-hole total of 235. Fisher made up the most ground of any NGU player as he shot an 85 in round one, but improved 13-strokes as he shot a round two 78 and a final round total of 72.
North Greenville will take part in the annual Richard Rendleman Invitational on February 29th hosted by Catawba College. The tournament will be played at the Country Club of Salisbury, in Salisbury, North Carolina.
