Dade County, Fl. - The 2015 season came to an end for the North Greenville Men's Golf Team after an 18th place finish at the NCAA Southeastern Regional Tournament at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
The Crusaders carded a three round total of 931, 67 over par as a team, the highest total for an NGU team in several years. NGU finished 48 strokes behind first place finisher Nova Southeastern which finished the tournament at -19, 10 strokes ahead of second place finisher Lynn University.
NGU failed to have a golfer in the top 50 of the tournament, led by Christian Constance who finished 64th. Constance had NGU's lowest round of the tournament with a 72 in the second round, improving 11 strokes from a day one 83. Constance shot a 74 on day three to finish with a 229.
Tucker MacDonald saw his NGU career come to close with a three-day total of 236. MacDonald finished tied for 89th after a 76 in round one, and an 81 and 79 in rounds two and three. MacDonald shared the 89th spot with teammates Evan Gfeller and Chase Fisher who also shot a 236. Gfeller shot two rounds of 77 capped with an 82 in round three, while Fisher shot a 76 on day one and followed it up with a 79 and an 81.
Sam Goodnight rounded out NGU's finishers with a 241 total after 54 holes. Goodnight shot an 82 on Monday and Tuesday and improved five strokes in the final round carding out with a 77.
The Crusaders wrapped up the season ranked 23rd in the Golfstat.com rankings, remaining in the top 25 since debuting at 13th in early October. NGU claimed two first place finishes and claimed six other top five finishes during the regular season.
