Crusaders Have Strong Second Round

Salisbury, NC – In their second match of the spring season, the North Greenville University men’s golf team finished 14th overall in the Richard Rendleman Invitational.

As a team, the Crusaders shot a total score of 318-295-613, 42 strokes behind team champion UNC Pembroke which finished the tournament with a total score of 291-280-571.

In the individual standings, Josh ONeal was the top finishing Crusader as he tied for 19th with a score of 75-72-147.

Freshman Tucker MacDonald shot 78-75-153 to tie for 52nd, while Adam Black finished 60th overall with a score of 79-76-155.

Thanks in large part to a strong second round, Danny Dippel improved 16 positions to finish tied for 68th with a total score of 86-72-158 and Sam Goodnight shot 89-77-166 to finish in 87th place.

The Crusaders will hit the links again on March 19-20 when they compete in the Barton Intercollegiate in Wilson, NC.
