Greenville, TN – After a strong showing in last week’s Cherokee Valley Invitational, the North Greenville men’s golf team placed seventh in the Tusculum Fall Classic at the Links Hill Golf Club.
As a team, the Crusaders shot a combined 300-287-587 in the two-day tournament. The Crusaders were ninth out of 12 teams and 18 strokes behind tournament champion Lincoln Memorial University.
In the individual standings, sophomore Josh O’Neal finished in third place with a two day total of 72-67-139, just four strokes back of the individual champion Jamie Chapman of Lincoln Memorial.
Senior Chancen Blackwood finished in a tie for 32nd after shooting 75-73-147. Fresh off last week’s tournament victory, freshman Tucker MacDonald shot 76-74-150 to finish in a tie for 41st with teammate Sam Goodnight who finished with a total of 77-73.
The Crusaders will be on the links again on Oct. 11-12 at the Bristol Country Club in Bristol, TN as they take part in the King College Collegiate.
