Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville University men’s and women’s golf teams will host their annual Cherokee Valley Spring Golf Invitational Monday and Tuesday, March 27-28 at the spectacular mountain view course directly north of the NGU campus.
Seven men’s teams and six women’s programs will play in the 36 hole event. NGU Coach Jeff Pittillo says that the tournament is wide open and that it should be some outstanding collegiate golf. Tee times begin at 10 a.m. Monday morning, and the final group goes off at 1:40 p.m. (weather permitting).
“If we get some inclement weather Monday morning, we will tee off when we can and hopefully get at least nine holes in on Monday and 18 on Tuesday,” Pittillo noted.
The Crusader men are coming off winning the championship at the Montreat Invitational March 15 and the NGU women were third.
Spectators are welcome at the tournament and those interested are encouraged to check in at the Cherokee Valley pro shop for tee times.
Complete results from the tournament will be posted on the NGU Athletics website at www.ngcrusaders.com.
