Georgia State was ranked second before the tournament and Belmont Abbey was previously ranked 11th. The Crusaders finished ahead of several top 50 programs helping propel North Greenville Crusaders to their first top 25 ranking.
The Crusaders are led by two seniors in Brad Caldwell and Brandon Coggins both of who are ranked in the top 100 nationally. Caldwell is currently ranked 18th and Coggins is ranked 71st.
“It’s great to be recognized in the top 25 for the first time,” said head coach Jeff Pitillo. “The ranking just shows the commitment that the guys have and how hard they have been working. Im happy for Brad and Brandon but the whole team has shown a great deal of dedication and worked hard to earn this honor.”
The Crusaders will look to improve their ranking on March 21-23rd when they play in the Georgia College Invitational. Following the tournament in Georgia the Crusaders will play on their own turf when they host the Cherokee Valley Invitational on April 5-6.
