CRUSADER GOLF OPENS 2010 SCHEDULE IN FLORIDA

Panama City Beach, Fla.—The North Greenville University golf team left the snow covered courses of Greenville and traveled south to Florida to take part in the Outback Steak House Invitational at the Hombre Golf Club.

After the first day of play the Crusaders trail first place Flagler (team total 285) by 15 strokes with a team total 300. North Greenville is in a three way tie for second with local rival Newberry College and Georgia Southwestern University. Individually Brad Caldwell finished in a five way tie for third place with an opening round 72.
Other individual scores for NGU were Brandon Coggins, Andrew Beck, and Richard Smith who all shot a first round 76 and Danny Dippel shot an 87. The Crusaders will wrap up the two day tournament tomorrow afternoon.
