CRUSADER GOLF CAPTAIN BRAD CALDWELL'S FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT

If North Greenville’s golf team is the hidden treasure inside the athletic program, Senior Brad Caldwell is the diamond in the rough. The three year letter winner, who is again leading the Crusaders to a very successful season, is also adding to what has been a stellar amateur career at NGU.

During Caldwell’s career at North Greenville, he has broken several school records including career wins (3), all tournament teams made (11), and lowest round shot (66). Along with these records Brad is a 2 time NCCAA All American and has made a NCAA Division 2 Super Regional.

The precipice of his amateur career came this summer when he was named an alternate in the US Amateur Tournament, one of the most decorated amateur events in all of golf. Coming so close to reaching his dream has given Caldwell a renewed desire for the upcoming NGU season.

“I know my role. I know that the better I play, the better the team will play, and we will gain more exposure, so my goal is to place all-tournament each week,” said Brad.

After his career at NGU, Brad plans on attending a qualifying school, and then trying his hand at one of the professional tours around the area, but for now, his eyes are set on bringing a NCAA II regional berth to the Crusaders.

The Crusaders spring schedule will begin in early February at Catawba College.
