Greenville, Tn.- After finishing the first day of the Tusculum Fall Classic tied for 9th place, the Crusaders looked to the second day of the tournament to improve their position in the standings.
After a windy round on Monday, the Crusaders improved two spots on Tuesday moving up to 7th place to finish the tournament.
The Crusaders shot a team total 300 on the second day shaving 5 strokes off of the total from day one. North Greenville finished with a two day total of 605, 29 strokes behind tournament leader and tournament host Tusculum. Individually Brad Caldwell led the way for Crusaders finishing 19th overall. Caldwell shot a 73 on the second day improving on his first day 75. Other individual scores for NGU were Andrew Beck who shot a 75 on day two, Danny Dippel who shot a second day 77, Richard Smith who shot a second day 75, and Brandon Coggins who shot a second day 81. “It wasn’t our best tournament and we know that” said head coach Jeff Pittillo, “but I am proud of the guys for coming out and improving on the second day.” The Crusaders will take a two week break before heading to Panama Beach Florida for the NCCAA National Championships held on October 10th and 13th.
