Anderson wins BMW Collegiate; NGU finishes 4th

TIGERVILLE, SC—Anderson University shot a second-round 301 to win the BMW Collegiate golf tournament held at the par-72 Cherokee Valley Golf Club. The Trojans finished with a two-round total of 601. Steven Brame of Cape Fear Community College held on to win the individual honors with a two-round total of 140.

The University of Mobile finished second, 11 shots off the lead with a 617. Limestone College (619), host North Greenville University (620), and Spartanburg Methodist College (623) rounded out the top five.

Anderson’s Adam Sheriff (143) and Kurt Owings (146) finished second and third respectively behind Brame in the individual standings. Matt Parzaile and Chad Skinner finished out the top five in a tie for fourth place at 147.

Southeastern University held a one-stroke lead after the opening round yesterday, but shot a second-round 327 to fall to ninth place.

North Greenville’s top finisher was Brandon Coggins, who shot a 76-73—149 to pace the Crusaders. Harrison Martin (156) tied for 17th place, Brad Caldwell (158) tied for 21st, Richard Smith (161) tied for 30th, and Andrew Beck (164) tied for 37th.
