Crusaders finish 3rd at NCCAA National Tournament; Caldwell earns All-American honors

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL—Southeastern University captured the NCCAA Golf Championship being conducted at The Hombre Golf Club. On another gorgeous day, the Fire shot 299 for a seven stroke victory over Olivet Nazarene University. North Greenville University finished third with a total of 607.

In the individual competition, Matt Parziale of Southeastern University, was medalist with a two under total of 141. He won by three shots over Austin Conroy of Indiana Wesleyan University, Forrest Carvajal of Central Baptist College, and Seth Doran of Olivet Nazarene University. Justin Lower of Malone College rounds out the top five with a total of 145.

The Crusaders shot a second-round 306 to finish with two-round total of 607. Brad Caldwell (Waynesville, NC) earned All-American honors, finishing sixth with a 74-73-147 to lead the Crusaders.

As part of the Christian Service Project connected with event, the NCCAA presented the Panama City Rescue Mission with a gift of $1000 for their efforts in the local area. Rescue Mission director Rev. Billy Fox expressed his thanks for the assistance by stating, “This gift will allow us to continue to reach the adults we serve for Christ and we are most appreciative.”
