Crusader Golf wins again; Irvin takes individual honors
Nathan Irvin finishes 1st

SENECA, SC—North Greenville University continues its hot streak by winning the 14th Annual Jack Shadwick Collegiate Golf Tournament hosted by Cross Creek Plantation Golf Club and Southern Wesleyan University. The Crusaders shot a two-round score of 576 (285-291) to top the 18-team field. North Greenville set a tournament record with the score.

Nathan Irvin (Easley, SC—Easley HS) took the individual honors, shooting and eight-under-par 66-68-134. Brad Caldwell (Waynesville, NC—Tuscola HS) finished second with a two-under-par 66-74-140, while Brandon Coggins also placed in the top five, shooting 71-72-143 for a 5th place tie.

Methodist University, last year’s defending NCAA D-III National Champions finished second with a team score of 587. Wingate (598), Cape Fear Community College (600), and Lincoln Memorial (600) rounded out the top five.

Andrew Beck (Fletcher, NC—Christ School) tied for 51st after shooting 82-77-159, and Tyler Batts (Easley, SC—Easley HS) finished tied for 68th with a 82-83-165 to round out the field for the Crusaders.

North Greenville led by eight shots after Day One.
