Crusaders win tournament; Coggins wins individual crown

HENDERSONVILE, NC—North Greenville University posted two birdies on the final two holes to tie Brevard College for first place at the 14-team Montreat Fall Invitational played at the Crooked Creek Golf Club. Both North Greenville and Brevard carded a two-day team total of 594, but the Crusaders were awarded the trophy based on a card playoff in which the tie is broken by the fifth man’s score on the second day.

Brandon Coggins (Gaffney, SC—Gaffney HS) took the individual honors after shooting at 3-under-par 70-71-141.

Brevard’s Grant Carnie shot 73-70-143 to finish second.

Tennessee Wesleyan (601), Union (609), and Milligan (619) rounded out the top five.
