Presbyterian wins BMW Collegiate; Crusaders tie for 8th

GREENVILLE, SC--Presbyterian College shot a 296 Tuesday to rally for the team title in the 12th Annual BMW Collegiate Golf Tournament at Verdae Greens Golf Club. The Blue Hose shot 297-296 to finish with a 593 team total to run away with the title. Barton College finished second, nine shots back at 602.

Barton's Stephen Harrison won the individual crown, carding a one-over-par 73 Tuesday to finish with a two-day score of 144 (71-73). The best round Tuesday belonged to St. Andrews Pesbyterian's Alvin Young, who shot a 71.

Tommy Bell (University of Mobile, 74-72-146) finished second, while John Kolls (St. Andrews, 74-73-147), Jordan Holley (Cape Fear CC, 73-74-147), Paul Butler (Limestone, 72-75-147), and Kurt Owings (Anderson, 70-77-147) all tied for third place.

After Presbyterian and Barton, Clayton State (306-300-606), St. Andrews Presbyterian (311-298-609), and Anderson (295-316-611) rounded out the top five.

North Greenville shot 620 (311-309) to tie for eighth place with Cape Fear and Lincoln Memorial. Brad Caldwell was the top finisher for the Crusaders, shootina 77-75-152 to tie for 21st. Brandon Coggins (75-79-154) finished tied for 28th. Nathan Irvin (T-40th, 78-78-156), Blake Hoover (T-44th, 81-77-158), Bo Ream (T-65th, 83-80-163), and Justin Bentley (80th, 89-84-173) rounded out the field for the Crusaders.
