Golf finishes 8th at NCCAA Nationals; Hoover earns All-American honors

WEST LAFAYETTE, OH- North Greenville University finished 8th at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament held Monday and Tuesday at River Green Golf Course. The Crusaders shot a two-round total of 606. Indiana Wesleyan University won the 25-team event with a score of 584. Malone College, Bethel College, Cedarville University, Dallas Baptist University, and Mt. Vernon Nazarene University rounded out the top five.

Blake Hoover earned NCCAA All-American honors for the Crusaders. Hoover tied for 5th place as he led North Greenville with a 73-73-146. Bo Ream tied for 20th with a 72-78-150. Kevin Yancar (81-74-155), Brian McCall (82-77-159), and Nathan Irvin (78-82-160) rounded out the field for the Crusaders.

Brian McCall, Cole West, and Kevin Yancar were all named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.
