NGU hosts BMW Collegiate Tournament

GREENVILLE, SC- The University of Mobile shot an opening round score of 302 to take a 11 shot lead at the BMW Collegiate Tournament held today at Verdae Greens Golf Club.

Mobile is 11 strokes ahead of Berry College, who opened the tournament with a team score of 313. Berry is led by Jarod Trammell, who led the field with a first-round 68.

Matthew Bayliff, of host North Greenville University, resides in second place with three others after shooting a first-round 74. Billy Belair of Lander University, Scotty Jones of Malone College, and Tommy Bell of the University of Mobile all shot 74s. There are five players tied for sixth place with a score of 75.

USC-Upstate is currently in third place with a team score of 314, followed by Belmont Abbey at 315. Clayton State, St. Andrews Presbyterian, North Greenville, and Lincoln Memorial are all tied at 317.

Second round action will begin at 8:00 am Tuesday morning at Verdae Greens Golf Club.
