NGU Takes 35th in Royals Cross Country Classic

North Greenville took home a 35th place finish in the Royals Cross Country Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Crusaders posted a total time of 2:16:28.60 and an average time of 27:17.72.

Victor Shellhammer was the top NGU finisher for the third time this season. He posted a lifetime personal best of 26:04.9 for 117th place overall to become the 4th fastest individual in program history.

Not far behind Shellhammer was Jacob Holcombe, who had a solid race with a time of 26:08.5 for 122nd place, just four seconds off his personal best time from last week.

Tommy Pearson was the next finisher for the Crusaders. He placed 283rd overall with a career personal best time of 27:35.1.

Jonathan Keller set a season personal best with a time of 28:04.4, which was good for 320th place overall.

Samuel Flook scored points for the first time in his collegiate career. He recorded a time of 28:35.7 for 364th place.

Just behind Flook was Clay Knight, who posted a time of 28:41.7 for 372nd place.

Wrapping up the Crusaders were Amir McCall with a time of 28:45.7, Weston Stokes with a career personal best time of 31:04.9, and Thomas Campbell, who posted a 2.3k time of 7:30.8 but was unable to finish.

The Crusaders will head to the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 26th in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
