North Greenville finished the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Kentucky with a 42nd overall finish out of 57 programs in the 8K event. A total of 516 student-athletes participated.
Jacob Holcombe was first for NGU to cross the finish line, recording a career personal best time of 26:06.5 for 82nd place individually. His time is 11th fastest in program history in an 8K event.
Tommy Pearson best his previous career personal best time by over a minute. He placed 255th with a time of 27:44.9.
Clay Knight set a season personal best and posted his 2nd fastest 8K in his collegiate career with a time of 28:28.7 for 342nd place.
Samuel Flook continues to impress in his freshman campaign with a time of 28:52.8, which was good for 371st place.
Amir McCall placed 420th in the event, posting a time of 29:36.3.
Jordan Griffiths wrapped up NGU's participation in the event, posting a season personal best time of 29:39.0 for 423rd place.
NGU will head to Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in the Royals Cross Country Challenge on Friday, October 11th.
