arlotte, N.C.—North Greenville turned in another solid performance on Saturday afternoon, finishing 11th place out of 27 contenders at the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University.
NGU was once again paced by leader Ahmad Nesbitt who set a new and personal record, running a 24:15. The sub 25 minute race placed Nesbitt ahead of all Division I runners, and in third place overall.
The next best finisher for North Greenville was Jordan Ferguson who finished 67th with a time of 28:05. The Crusaders competed against more than 200 runners from NCAA Division II alone. Finishing behind Ferguson was Ravon Wamer who cruised to a 28:07 mark and a 69th place finish.
Jacob Griggs ran a 29:17 while Tre’ Black finished with a time of 30:17. The Crusaders earned their 11th place finish with a total time of 2:20:03, an average of 28 minutes. The Crusaders will be back in action in two weeks at the Bulldog Stampede in Charlotte, North Carolina. The stampede will be NGU’s final tune up for the Conference Carolinas Championships on November 7th.
