NESBITT'S SCHOOL RECORD PACES CRUSADERS IN CHARLOTTE

Charlotte, N.C.—Paced once again by top runners Ahmad Nesbitt and Brett Morely, the North Greenville men’s cross country team set a school record on Friday afternoon with an average time 27:20.44 at the Royal Cross Country Invitational. 

The Crusaders turned in a top 15 finish with a 12th performance, in the field of 28. The team time set the school record for average team time during an 8k race. 

The Crusaders were paced by NGU’s top runner Ahmad Nesbitt, who set a personal best with a 25:06, placing him in 4th place, out of 222 total runners. Nesbitt’s time also set a new North Greenville University record, and was three seconds faster than the Division 1, 8k winner. 

Brett Morley also continued his stellar career at North Greenville crossing the finish line at 25:18.9. Morley’s time put him in the top 10 with an 8th place finish overall. 

Friday wrapped up the regular season for the men’s cross country team which will now focus on training for the Conference Carolinas Championships on October 25th in Concord, North Carolina. Follow the link below for complete race results.
