NGU Men's Cross-country Team Do Well At the Furman Invitational

Greenville, SC – The North Greenville University men’s cross-country team placed 14th place with 351 overall points at the 37th Furman Invitational on Saturday, October the 10th, on the Furman University Golf Course.

The Crusaders were placed by freshman Andrew Mosteller who turned in a time of 31: 24.78 in the 8K race, good for the 82nd place overall from all DI and DII schools.
One of the other runners who stepped up for North Greenville men’s cross country team on the day was junior Daniel Stockwell who finished second from the team with overall time of 32:08.42 which impressed the Head Coach Micah Sepko: “I think Daniel did really good job today and I was really surprised with his overall time.”
Three other North Greenville runners, junior Taylor Spence, senior TC Ford, and sophomore James Lind finished in top 100 runners out of the 127 runners participating in the race.
“We ran as a team today,” Sepko said. “I thought both teams ran well.  As far as our freshmen go, I think they ran really well in their first collegiate races. I am proud of them.”
Next up for both cross-country teams is the Wingate Cross-country Pre-Conference Invitational on October 15 in Wingate, SC which will be the last race in this year.
