Men's Cross Country competes at Lenior-Rhyne Invitational

NEWTON, NC--Lenoir-Rhyne swept the women's and men's races at the 2007 Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational with team scores of 34 and 20 for the women's and men's teams respectively.

Men's 8K

North Greenville finished fifth out of five schools with a team score of 121. Samuel Ramos was the top finisher for the Crusaders, crossing the tape 10th in 29:27. Josh Bright was next at 24th.

Brad People, of Lenior-Rhyne, won the event with a time of 26:29.

King, Warren Wilson, and Catawba finished second, third, and fourth to round out the field.

Women's 5K

North Greenville finished fifth out of six schools with a team score of 134. King, Tusculum, and Catawba placed second, third, and fourth, while Warren Wilson trailed the Crusaders in sixth place.

Shana Sears was the top finisher for the Crusaders at 22nd with a time of 23:56. Amy Givens placed two spots back at 24th with a time of 24:18.
